In all my itinerant years, I never thought I would taste grapes from all over the world blended together. - Michel Rolland

It was in 2017—six years after we’d first conceived of Pangaea that we stood in a cellar in South Africa with all the barrels before us:

Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley, Merlot from Bordeaux, Petit Verdot from Spain, Cabernet Franc from South Africa, And Malbec from Argentina. Michel remarked how, in all his itinerant years, he had never tasted grapes from all over the world together, and never thought he would.

It was not just an incredible experience, but a journey – with one sip we’d be standing on the cool clay of Bordeaux’s Right Bank, with another we’d be at the foot of the Andes.

Steered by Michel’s great skill and propelled by lively debate, we forged a blend, the continents inching closer with every bit of progress we made.

lingering on fresh cut red fruit like strawberries with touches of black cherries and plums.
